Hero to launch updated Karizma, Xtreme and Pleasure

Hero Motocorp plans to launch updated Karizma ZMR, Karizma R, Xtreme and Pleasure on this month. Hero has also showcased its new products at the 2014 Auto Expo.  Now it plans to bring their updated models in the country. The company had unveiled its new karizma R and ZMR in last year.  The both Karizma R and Karizma ZMR receive more changes in terms of design and also the engine updates. The new Pleasure gets an important update, new integrated braking system which is same as to the Combi-braking system from Maestro. The updated Xtreme also get more interesting changes.

Karizma R

The Karizma R comes with scintillating body graphics, dual dynamic head lamps, astra gold front and rear disc brakes, integrated LED tail lamp and digital analogue meter console. It can produce maximum power output of 19.2 bhp. The claimed 0-60 km/hr time is 3.6 seconds.

Karizma ZMR

The new Karizma gets the features like the digital system, suspension and wheels. It comes with five spoke wheels, telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers at the front and Swing arm with adjustable type hydraulic shock absorber at the rear. Karizma ZMR can produce maximum power output of 20 bhp and maximum torque of 19.7Nm at 6500 rpm. It is expected that the updated ZMR is to be priced higher than the previous model.

Xtreme 

The updated Xtreme will be available as the standard and also Sport. It will come with revised tank, revised instrument console and new 3D logo and new panels at rear. The bike gets the same alloy wheels as in the exisiting models and front mudguard. It offers disc brake at the both front and rear. It will be the first one to get engine immobilizer system.

Hero has unveiled the another one model, Xtreme Sports at the 2014 Auto Expo. It comes with a single-cylinder, 150 cc power train option which can develop maximum power of 15.2 bhp with maximum torque of 12.8 Nm. The engine is coupled to a five-speed gearbox. It receives a new headlamp with LED position lights. It also includes telescopic hydraulic front suspension and an adjustable gas reservoir swing arm rear suspension.

Pleasure

Hero had showcased their new Pleasure with IBS (Integrated Braking System) at the press conference in last year. The updated pleasure is the 100cc scooter mainly targeted to women.

The IBS (Integrated Braking System) is a System which is used to link the front and rear brakes of a scooter. IBS is a new feature in terms of safety which is specially designed by the R&D department of Hero. Hero Motocorp has applied patent for this IBS. The IBS system is different from the Combi –Brake System of Honda. The Combi-Brake system does not work when only the front brake is applied by the user. It is the main difference between the Combi –Brake System and IBS (Integrated Braking System).

The new Pleasure comes with features like a mobile charger socket, boot light in luggage box, a lockable glove box, combination ignition lock with seat opening and side stand indicators
