Honda plans to unveil its new City which is codenamed as 2CT in New Delhi on 25th of this month. The company has stopped the production of current City already and it has cleared its stock completely.The new City is based on the upcoming new generation Honda Jazz. The new Honda Jazz will hit the Indian market by next year with diesel engine option.
The new City will get 1.5 litre i-DTEC engine from the Amaze which can produce 110 PS of power. The 1.5 litre diesel engine will be mated to five speed manual gear box. But the petrol model will get 5 speed manual gearbox and automatic transmission option.
The 2014 Honda City will compete with the cars like Volkswagen Vento, Skoda Rapid, Ford Fiesta and Hyundai Verna. It is expected that this new car would be priced Rs 80,000 more than its petrol model. It is also expected that the new City and new Jazz will be at the 2014 Expo.
