Honda is about to introduce the sports tourer CBR500R in the early 2015,with an intention to maintain the reputation for its brand CBR ,that is popular for its unique features, reliability and less cost than other bikes in India.TheCBR500R is almost twice as powerful as theCBR250,with the horse power of 47bhp and peak torque of 43Nm that is drawn from a 500cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine. This engine gets mated with a six-speed transmission unit .Further, the company claims that the CBR500R will be 85% % as fuel efficient as the Honda CBR250 with the implementation of programmed fuel injected engine. The sports bike boasts of a hefty 194kgs that sits on a 12 spoke cast wheels. One can gain the top speed at 185km/hr while to reach the speed of 100km/hr it takes only 5.7 seconds, thus CBR500R will be an excellent motorcycle for long distances and touring. Improved ergonomics is seen in the form of Honda pro-link suspension,while the speed and acceleration are reigned by a 320 mm disc in the front and a 240 mm disc at the rear.Besides,we could expect the Honda CBR500R to get the ABS as a standard feature.The other features that get added to the CBR500R are digital speedometer,halogen headlights,steel tube frames,stainless steel exhaust,step seat and rear grips.
